Gary was born in Sioux City Iowa, population 83,000. He was raised with old fashioned mid western values. Hard working, honest, and a respect for others people. He has always had an interest in politics, he was going to City Council meetings when he was still in high school. He attended the University of South Dakota, were he studied, television and film production, journalism, business, and Urban Planning. He worked part-time all through his college years but still maintained an A average.
After college, he moved Orlando Florida, he worked with a number of radio and television stations. He also worked with the Disney Company for several years working on the development of Shows for the Park and new ride concepts.
At the Age of 30 he started a company called Entertainment Concepts, and is still in business today. His Daughter and his niece work in the Family business together. The company is multi-faceted it produces TV commercials, documentaries, and kinds of Musical Productions. The company still runs Out Door Movie presentations, Film Festivals, Movie Theaters, and is currently building an independent TV station in North Las Vegas.
What Gary brings to the table is over 47 years of real world business experience. He understands what it takes to be successful in business, and he knows how to Turn NLV around and mold it in to a City that you will be proud to live in. In his own words “A city is a business, and it has to be run for the good of taxpayers, The taxpayers are your customers who have given you their hard earned money with the hope that they will get services and amenities back, like a clean and safe City, Good Schools, Performing Art Centers, Aquatic Center safe roads and streets. The Tax Money the City gets from the Tax Payers is a “Sacred Trust, and I will not break that trust”
Gary Bouchard will fix a broken City Government, he will be the first Full Time Mayor and the most qualified Mayor this City has ever had. He will bring Integrity, honesty, and transparency to NLV. He will also bring an incredible creativity with ideas that will make North Las Vegas shine like a bright star in the night sky. He will make NLV a great place for Families, young people, and older people. He will make this City a place that people want to live in, and a place that business will want to be, and he will do this without raising taxes. I have known Gary Bouchard for over 50 years, I have fished with him, I have worked with him on projects, and he never let me down.
